Numerous people are going through significant internal changes at the moment, which can be extremely challenging at times. Some refer to this as a "spiritual awakening." Internally, we have recognized that the way we have been taught to live does not correspond to our true nature. We are beginning to connect with our inner selves, and a part of us desires change. So many of us have forgotten that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, not spiritual humans. Your ultimate essence is spiritual.
Meditation, visualization, mindfulness, and self-awareness all assist us in reconnecting with our true nature. I feel that in many cases, depression and anxiety can be a result of our spiritual nature being out of alignment. When our spirit wants to do something but our mind is afraid to act or lacks the confidence to act, it can be spiritually taxing. It can manifest as symptoms such as depression or anxiety, but it can also manifest as more serious conditions such as actual illness or dis-ease. In our body, a lack of ease manifests as tension. What would happen if you squeezed a muscle for an extended period? Similarly, when we have internal tension, we are tense and unaware of it and the impact and effects it might have on us.
